Scavenger Hunt

On Saturday night Steve and I helped with the youth group's video scavenger hunt. It was a lot of fun even for us adults. The kids were divided into 4 teams with about 5-7 kids per team. Steve and I were the leaders for the blue team. We had a team of 5 girls. To be honest with you we didn't think our team was going to do that well because it was all girls and we had seen the list of the things that the teams had to do on video to get points. We didn't think they would even attempt some of the things. It turns out that we were wrong. The girls on our team did awesome! We didn't get first place but we came in at a very close second.

I wouldn't have even been able to do some of the things that the girls did. One of them swallowed a goldfish. Yuck! Another girl attempted to eat a whole can of anchovies in 45 seconds. They smelled nasty. There were other odd and random tasks that the kids had to complete to get points. One of the funnest parts was probably tp'ing the youth pastor's house. That was great fun!

After the time limit was up we all met back at the church and watched everyone's videos. Steve and I hung out for a little while after it was over but we finally left at about 9:30 to go pick the kids up from his parents' house. We had a lot of fun and I was very proud of the girls on our team.
