Slow Going
It seems like I have been busy lately but nothing has really been blog worthy. I haven't even posted anything yet this month until now and I still don't really have much to talk about.
We have been enjoying the nicer weather that we have been having around here lately. Today is supposed to be in the upper 60s and we are supposed to reach the mid 70s by the weekend. I can live with that.
Steve and I have decided to start helping with the high school youth group at our church. It's 2 nights a week plus extra activities so it will keep us plenty busy I think. We're excited to see how God will use us in our new positions. There seems to be a really great group of high schoolers at our church.
Awana is winding up for the year. Last night was the last regular night. Next Tuesday will be Awards Night. B finished her Cubbie book so she will get an award. It will be so cute to see her go up and receive it. I am so proud of her and it still amazes me what little 3 and 4 years olds can memorize and retain. She has such a sweet childlike faith. She is very excited that next year she will get to start Sparkies. That is for kids in kindergarten through 2nd grade. Steve and I have decided that we are going to take next year off as Awana leaders (I pretty much took this year off) since we are starting to help with the youth group at our church. We will still keep B in the program but H will still have to wait one more year before she can start Cubbies.
Well, I didn't think I would have anything to blog about but I guess I had a little. Until next time...
